Garden State Emmaus

Hello Garden State Emmaus Community!

I invite you to take a moment to think back to the weekend you spent on your Walk to Emmaus. What did you feel when you arrived? And now, how did you feel when the weekend was over? Did you feel that you had met Christ along the road? The community that is the Walk to Emmaus, in the Garden State and worldwide, made that possible.

We, as community members, have the privilege of bringing the weekend experience to others. Walks are soon approaching! We have the opportunity to share the incredible love of our Savior through sponsorship, weekend service, and acts of agape. How sad it would be to miss this opportunity!

Now is the time to prayerfully consider sponsoring pilgrims for the upcoming walks. Pilgrim applications and sponsorship forms are available at www.gardenstateemmaus.org. Mail completed forms to Diane VanShenk Brill at PO Box 944, Newfield, NJ 08344.

There is also URGENT NEED for men to serve in kitchen and agape. If you are available and willing to serve for the entire weekend or any portion of it, please contact Diane Goss at goss60@comcast.net as soon as possible.

The Fall 2016 Walks are being held in South Seaville:
Team training September 9-11.
Men’s weekend is September 22-25.
Women’s weekend October 6-9.

Please pray for the pilgrims and teams as Christ works through all.

Save the date for the second gathering of 2015!

This is a great time to come together and lift our praises to the Lord.

This can be a time to rekindle friendships, see what the community has planned for 2015, meet our new Community Lay Director, share ideas and partake in communion with the community.

Bring a friend or two.  Share the love of Christ with your friend.  You need not have been on a Walk to attend a gathering.

The Emmaus gatherings are also open for Chrysalis to attend.

All 6 nominees will have a position on the GSWTE Board.They were elected during our quarterly Gathering in November. They represent the Class of 2017 as per the election results. Although the option for write-in candidates was exercised (as part of the election procedure), none were offered.

At Smithville Park in Mt. Holly (right off of Rt. 38)

From 12pm to 2pm

This is a pot luck event. Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be supplied by the Board of Directors.

Come out and have a good time. To renew old friendships. Meet new friends. What has God been doing in your life since your walk? Get reconnected with the community. Let us build up the body of Christ.

We will welcome the new Butterflies to the community.

  The event is open to everyone. Past pilgrims, future pilgrims, future Caterpillars and Butterflies.

Invite a friend or two. How many can you pile in your car? Can your church have the most in attendance? We do have a pavilion reserve for Emmaus.
